Jim Norton, CPA is a Manager with NCheng LLP’s Financial Management Services (FMS) team and has more than 16 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, financial management, and technology consulting. He works with mission-driven organizations to strengthen financial operations, optimize accounting processes, and implement technology solutions that enhance financial reporting, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
Jim advises clients on financial management, accounting operations, system implementations, and technology strategies that improve efficiency and support long-term organizational success. He has extensive experience guiding organizations through the implementation and optimization of Sage Intacct, helping leadership teams streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and make more informed business decisions. His expertise spans the full implementation lifecycle, including solution design, sales and presales support, implementation, training, and ongoing client success.
Prior to joining NCheng LLP, Jim began his career in public accounting, providing audit and tax services before transitioning into nonprofit leadership roles as a Senior Accountant, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). After implementing Sage Intacct as a Controller more than a decade ago, he developed a passion for financial technology and has since worked extensively with Sage Intacct VAR and SIA partners, leading sales, presales, implementations, and ongoing support. Most recently, Jim served as Senior Product Manager at Velixo, where he helped organizations maximize the value of their financial data through innovative reporting solutions. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Jim is a recognized member of the Sage Intacct community, having spoken at industry conferences, trained implementation partners, and built a strong reputation as a trusted advisor within the ecosystem.
